eurocoefficient.com does not require registration and does not collect personal information directly. The site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which relies on cookies and similar technologies.

Who is responsible

eurocoefficient.com is an independent site run by a private individual and is not affiliated with UEFA or any club. That operator is the data controller for everything described below and can be reached at allsoccerrank@gmail.com.

What is collected

There are no accounts and no sign-up form, so you are never asked for your name, e-mail address or any other identifying detail. What is processed arises automatically while you browse:

• Usage data through Google Analytics: pages visited, time spent on them, the site you arrived from, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Advertising data through Google AdSense: cookies and similar identifiers used to select, deliver and measure ads.
• An approximate country, looked up once from your IP address (through get.geojs.io) on your first visit and used only to pick a display language. It is not stored and is not linked to anything else.
• Preferences kept in your browser's own storage: language, light or dark theme, and your cookie choice. These stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.
• Ordinary server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) kept briefly by the hosting providers, Vercel for the site and Railway for the coefficient API, for security and troubleshooting.

Google Analytics and AdSense load on every page, but Google Consent Mode keeps their storage switched off until you accept cookies: before that no analytics or advertising cookies are written and any ads are non-personalised. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is visible to Google when a page opens.

Why it is used

To keep the site running and secure, to see which pages and competitions people actually read so they can be improved, to show the site in a language you are likely to understand, and to cover hosting costs through advertising. Nothing is sold, and none of it is used to build a profile tied to your name.

Legal grounds (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom the GDPR applies, and the processing above rests on these grounds:

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing is stored for those purposes until you press Accept in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw it at any time.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for keeping the site available and secure, for short-lived server logs, and for choosing an initial display language.
• Your saved preferences fall under strictly necessary storage: they are the setting you asked for and serve no other purpose.

Who it is shared with

Only the providers the site is built on: Google (Analytics, AdSense, Fonts), Vercel (site hosting) and Railway (the coefficient API). No user data is sold, traded or passed to a data broker. The coefficient data itself is compiled from UEFA's published results and regulations, never from visitors.

These providers are based in, or process data in, the United States, so your data can leave the EEA and the UK. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, for certified providers, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long it is kept

Analytics data is held on Google's servers for the retention window configured in the Analytics property and is deleted automatically afterwards. Server logs are kept only briefly by the hosting providers. Preferences remain in your browser until you clear its storage. Nothing else is retained.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, and under comparable laws in force elsewhere, you can:

• ask whether data about you is being processed and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have data erased or its processing restricted;
• object to processing that relies on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable, machine-readable form;
• withdraw consent whenever you like, without affecting what was lawful before you withdrew it.

Because the site keeps no account and no name, there is usually nothing here that can be traced back to you as an individual, but write to allsoccerrank@gmail.com and your request will be answered.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in the EEA or the UK, the data protection authority of the country where you live, where you work, or where you believe the problem occurred.

Outside Europe

The same practice applies wherever you are: no accounts, no sale of data, and no analytics or advertising storage before you accept. If you are in California, allowing advertising cookies can count as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA/CPRA; declining the banner, or Google's own ad settings, stops that. Visitors covered by Brazil's LGPD or by comparable laws in Canada, Switzerland and elsewhere can exercise their local rights at the same address.

Children

This is a football statistics reference, not a service aimed at children, and no data is knowingly collected from them.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page and the date at the top change with it. There is no mailing list, so it is worth re-reading whenever the date moves.
